Winter Park native, Edie Showalter Fagan’s watercolors are painted in a loose, spontaneous manner. She enjoys painting landscapes, still life and figures, and is well known for her dog portraits. She holds a degree in Art from Queens University in Charlotte and has studied watercolor with nationally and internationally known artists. The National Watercolor Society and the Florida Watercolor Society have honored her with signature membership, and she was studio artist at Crealde School of Art in Winter Park, Florida. She was published in Splash 9 - a collection of watercolors by top contemporary American artists. She was the poster artist for Winter Park’s 2005 Doggie Art Festival, the 2006 Winter Park Autumn Art Festival and the 2011 Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival. In 2008 she painted an ornament representing Florida for the White House Christmas tree. Her award-winning paintings have appeared in newspapers and magazines, and are treasured in clients’ homes nationwide.
